Anisha Desai, M.Ac,  L.Ac

International Wellness Retreat Leader | Acupuncturist | Remote Acupuncture Energy Realignment  | Co-founder Pangu Yoga  | Private Yoga • Tai Chi • Qi Gong

Known for her soulful warmth and radiant presence, Anisha Desai holds a nurturing space that allows others to feel truly seen and supported in deep healing. At the heart of her work is a sincere devotion to cultivating a global community of practice rooted in vitality, sincerity, and loving presence.

This passion flows through her guidance toward a renewed quality of life—one shaped by presence, education, humor, and embodied spiritual integration and leadership.

Anisha has been a global retreat leader, practicing Acupuncturist, Qi Gong energy healer, and Yoga teacher for over 22 years. She is devoted to offering pathways of healing, empowerment, and transformation through a wide range of modalities that honor both ancient wisdom and lived experience.

In 2004, Anisha met world-renowned Qi Gong Master Ou Wen Wei. This meeting led to years of dedication and close mentorship, including teacher training in Pangu Mystical Qi Gong Moving and Non-Moving Forms, as well as extensive travel and teaching alongside Master Ou throughout the United States, China, Hong Kong, Peru, Japan, Indonesia, Italy, the Czech Republic, and Macau.

In 2011, guided by deep love for both Yoga and Qi Gong, Anisha approached Master Ou with the inspiration to unite Yoga’s original divine intention with the energetic principles of Pangu Mystical Qi Gong. Together, they created what is now known as Pangu Yoga—a living, embodied fusion honoring both traditions. Since then, Anisha has authored portions of a web-based alternative textbook for Yoga I and II at NC State University and produced her own Pangu Yoga instructional online stream.

She is also a certified Pangu Tai Chi instructor (2021), trained by the system’s co-creator Vincent Chu alongside Master Ou, and has studied extensively with Sifu Dimitri Mougdis—further grounding her teaching in authentic lineage and powerful internal cultivation.

Anisha continues to offer acupuncture, yoga, Tai Chi, Qi Gong, remote sessions, workshops, and wellness retreats across the United States and internationally. Drawing from her own life journey and spiritual practice, she supports students with compassion, steadiness, and presence—inviting depth, integrity, and a felt sense of wholeness.

ON A PERSONAL NOTE

Anisha’s life has been shaped by movement across cultures, landscapes, and lineages. Born in Melbourne, Australia to Indian parents—her father from Zanzibar and her mother from Mumbai—she moved to the United States at a young age and has since lived, studied, and taught across many parts of the world.

Over time, the question “Where are you from?” has softened into something less geographical and more relational. Anisha experiences herself as a global citizen—shaped by many places, guided by lived connection rather than rooted in one fixed home.

Travel, nature, and the ocean continue to be profound teachers in her life. Whether through time spent in water, quiet observation, or shared meals and conversation, she values experiences that cultivate presence, perspective, and reverence for the living world.

At this stage of her life, simplicity, integrity, and meaningful connection guide her choices. She is devoted to living in alignment with the practices she teaches—listening deeply, moving honestly, and meeting life as it is. Loss, change, and impermanence have refined her path, deepening her capacity to hold space with steadiness, humility, and care.

Anisha’s life and work are inseparable—both rooted in the ongoing practice of vitality, kindness, and conscious participation in the world.
