Spirit of the Lake ~ A Journey into the Ancient Waters of Atitlan

About this trip

Held in the heart of Guatemala’s volcanic highlands, Spirit of the Lake is a springtime retreat for those longing to reconnect with what is true, essential, and quietly powerful within.

On the sacred shores of Lake Atitlán — an ancient caldera revered by the Maya as the nab’ey teq’, or bellybutton of the world — we’ll gather in community to move, breathe, and remember. Through yoga, ritual, rest, ancient practices and deep communion with the land, we’ll soften into the wisdom of the body and the mystery of the moment.

This is a place where time slows.

Where the waters hold memory.

Where the ancestors are near.

And where your spirit — like the lake — can be still, deep, and luminous.

We’ll root ourselves in a presence that is both ancient and fresh — a spirit that awakens something timeless within you, while opening space for new clarity, creativity, and joy.

Come. Let the pulse of the lake guide you home to yourself.

Why this Retreat

This one-of-a-kind, lovingly curated experience isn’t just about escaping — it’s about remembering. Set in one of the most spiritually potent places in the world, Spirit of the Lake takes you deep into the heart of Guatemala’s Lake Atitlán, where ancestral energy and natural beauty hold you in every breath. The retreat location has been carefully chosen to support the healing and transformation of body, mind, and soul — a space that both grounds and uplifts. Nestled amidst breathtaking volcanoes and whispering waters, this journey blends soul-nourishing wellness practices (like yoga, Qi Gong, acupuncture, energy healing, Mayan ceremony ) with the wild, elemental magic of the land. It’s not just where we go — it’s how we return.
