Gentle Restorative + Singing Bowl Sound Bath (Copy) (Copy)

  • Black Mountain Yoga 116 Montreat Road Black Mountain, NC, 28711 United States (map)

Enjoy an evening of gentle movement, restorative yoga and sound healing by candlelight, combined to give participants a therapeutic experience.

Join Michelle Befus and Anisha Fraser in an evening of Gentle Restorative Yoga practice, breath work, and a Crystal Singing Bowl Sound Bath, cultivating balance and ease in the body and mind.

Restorative yoga is the practice of letting go, releasing, and looking inward. During a sound bath, sound and vibrations are used to adjust the breath, heart rate and brain waves to naturally shift your consciousness to a more relaxed and meditative state of mind. It is in the meditative state that you will be able to access a deeper state of consciousness through your restorative practice. Combining these two practices stimulates the nervous system, decreases stress, and allows for deep relaxation. As the body and mind calm, increased mental clarity, changes in physical sensations in the body, and a deeper connection to one's intuition may be experienced.

The practice closes with the sound of pure silence experienced through Savasana.

No Yoga or Meditation experience necessary - all are welcome!

Gentle Restorative + Singing Bowl Sound Bath is $45 per person with a limited capacity. Space may open up based on Buncombe County's Covid-19 mandates (who knows what will happen by November!)
